Celebrating Women’s Empowerment, Women's Professional Network has chosen four community leaders for our WPN Annual Speakers Panel "Women in Male-Dominated Industries”. This year our panel will feature:

Cathy Watson,  former NASA Aerospace Engineer and Ferndale City Council Member - Before moving to Ferndale in December 2007, Cathy worked for NASA for 16 years. In her last NASA position, she led teams of engineers, technicians, and scientists designing space shuttle and space station experiments to study astronauts' physical and mental health during long-duration spaceflights.

Amanda Cecotti, Birch Equipment Facility Manager – Anacortes - With over 16 years of experience in the construction equipment industry; Amanda’s team provides primary on-site contact with heavy industrial and manufacturing facilities, government bases and commercial building sites for equipment rental, procurement, mobilization and jobsite safety and supplies.

Judi Edwards, Bellingham Cold Storage IT Manager - With over 5 years leading the Information Technology Department at Bellingham Cold Storage, Judi has extensive experience in the technology industry. Before Bellingham Cold Storage, Judi held leadership roles in research data analysis in an agricultural research firm and later on in a nationwide trucking company.

Julie Shirley, Executive Director at The Bellingham Herald - Julie's journalism career started in The Anaheim Bulletin and continued at The Tribune in Fort Pierce, FL, The Appeal Democrat and the Dessert Sun in Palm Springs, CA. Julie moved to Bellingham in 2003 where she took over the Executive Director role at the Bellingham Herald
