Policy of the Month

Table networking and your neighbors.

Table networking is a great way to promote your business. At every WPN breakfast meeting, everyone is given a minute and a half to talk about themselves and their business (to practice you elevator speech), as well as pass around business cards and/or pamplets. We stay at our tables and there is a bell to let us know when to start and stop. Please be considerate of others and be sure to stop when your turn is up and let the next person start. Each table has a table leader to help facilitate the process. After all eight ladies have had their turn, there is a five minute wrap up time at the end. This way, if you were not finished or have questions, you can then continue on.

WPN is Going Green!

Remember the WPN survey you completed a few months ago? It’s the one survey where you can be sure your voice is really heard! Your WPN Advisory Board is listening to you, and we are doing our best to ensure that WPN is fulfilling your business education, networking and promotion needs. Knowing what you want is important to us because you are important to us.

We asked you, “Do you prefer to receive the WPN newsletter by US Postal Mail or through email?” The majority of members who answered this question indicated they would prefer email newsletters. This is gratifying for two reasons:

  1. The paper saved will help in our efforts to run an eco-friendly organization;
  2. The money saved will help in our efforts to keep membership and breakfast meeting fees as low as possible.

WPN Membership Drive

What do you love most about WPN? Is it the opportunity to promote your business? Or learning something new from our top-notch speakers each month? What about the camaraderie and relationships you’ve developed? Whatever you enjoy the most, imagine it multiplied by fifty! Fifty new members to network and build relationships with. Fifty new members to promote your business to. Fifty new members to learn from and laugh with as you enjoy getting to know each other. Fifty new members who just might have the product or service you’ve been looking for.

This year the WPN Advisory Board’s goal is to bring all the things you love about WPN to fifty new members. Wouldn’t it be great if every professional woman in our area discovered what you already know: that WPN is the networking source for women in Whatcom County and beyond?
